Anna Ive been lookig at all your picturs they were fascinating especially after reading your blog. Loads of questions spring to mind I suppose it would be better to ask them round about the picturesbut here goes Why is it called the forbidden city? Are the roof tiles made of clay? What are the figures at the end of the rooves?What are the circular patterns at the edge of the roovesa and the spaghetti like decorations made of? Are the patterns under the lower canopy painted on walls? The lions does one of them have the world under his paw? I love the tile like decoration. are they meant to be lions or dragons?The later picture of musicians look happy are they appreciated? What is the hutongand also the blackbird?Nice red lightshade rather like the one in you bedroom here. What incredible decorationat the summerpalace,a pity about the haze in Quindao!
